Due to weather-related construction delays, Centennial Stadium will now officially open its doors on July 18 against the Portland Thorns. Our priority is to provide the best matchday experience for our fans, players, and staff, and we appreciate the community’s understanding regarding this adjusted timeline.

This brand-new venue serves as an important step forward for the club, offering an elevated matchday experience as we build toward our long-term future. We only get one chance to open Centennial Stadium for the first time, and we want this night to be a special, memorable celebration worthy of this club and this city. From the first kickoff on July 18 through the end of the 2027 season, fans will help shape new traditions here – while momentum continues toward our permanent, purpose-built home at Santa Fe Yards.
