At every Denver Summit FC home game, we partner with Xcel Energy to recognize the dedication, compassion, and impact of outstanding community members from across Colorado. Whether they are educators, healthcare workers, first responders, dedicated volunteers, or military veterans, the Summit Salute honors these deserving individuals with exclusive in-game recognition.
For Xcel Energy, supporting local heroes is part of our commitment to the communities we serve. We work closely with firefighters, emergency management agencies, and first responders across Colorado to help prepare for and reduce wildfire risk, strengthen community resilience, and promote public safety. Through Summit Salute, we’re proud to recognize the people whose service helps make our communities stronger every day.
Past Honorees
Anne Walton-Cooper
As the Emergency Management Coordinator for the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Anne Walton-Cooper has dedicated 15 years to serving Colorado communities. A true local hero who recently coordinated the sheltering of nearly 1,000 livestock during the Aspen Acres Fire, this longtime Castle Rock resident is a proud mother, grandmother, and fierce protector of both people and animals in times of crisis!
Kristy Schwartz
Serving as an Ambassador Specialist for the Evergreen Fire/Rescue Wildland Division, Colorado native Kristy Schwartz boasts a remarkable 26-year career as a first responder. Dedicated to wildfire mitigation and public safety, this proud Evergreen resident enjoys her downtime with her husband—a fellow retired first responder—and their three beloved pets.
Jess Moore
With a first-responder journey that began in 2001, Jess Moore now brings her invaluable expertise to her role as the Wildland Project Coordinator for the Evergreen Fire/Rescue Wildland Division. When she isn't actively protecting Colorado's natural landscapes and communities from wildfires, Jess is the ultimate fan, cheering on her two amazing children!
Mike Alexander
As the Director of Emergency Management for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Mike Alexander is a dedicated 27-year first responder who fiercely protects Colorado communities. A veteran of the Pike Interagency Hotshot Crew and Douglas County Helitack, Mike loves spending his downtime in Castle Pines with his family, exploring the outdoors, and giving back by coaching youth lacrosse.
Robert Carmosino
With an incredible 34-year career in the fire service, Robert Carmosino proudly serves as a Battalion Chief with the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority and as the Emergency Manager for the City of Loveland. A true local hero, Robert has dedicated over three decades to protecting his community. He credits his lifelong success to the unwavering support of his wife, Tanya, their daughters, Megan and Emilia, and his extended family. For the Carmosinos, community service is a proud family tradition—with loved ones serving across law enforcement, fire rescue, the medical field, and the military!
Einar Jensen
Bringing 29 years of fire service expertise to the frontlines, Einar Jensen is a cornerstone of community safety, serving as the Risk Reduction Coordinator and Public Information Officer for the Evergreen Fire Protection District. Beyond his vital work in unincorporated Jefferson County and his role with Argus Event Staffing, Einar is a proud father to twin daughters. When he isn't busy keeping the public informed and safe, you can find this Colorado outdoorsman enjoying his free time taking long, peaceful walks in the woods.
Danielle McNutt
A passionate 9-year veteran of the fire service, Danielle McNutt serves as the Community Risk Reduction Senior Program Manager for the Boulder Fire Department. She is at the forefront of community safety and is a vital part of a dedicated team.
Stef Baker
As the Emergency Management Lead for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Stef Baker brings a wealth of expertise, holding a Master’s degree in Emergency Management. A proud Jeffco resident, Stef is a third-generation first responder, carrying on an incredible family legacy that spans over 104 years of dedicated service to the community!
Dane Lannon
Serving as a Major in the United States Air Force, Dane Lannon's journey of service began when he enlisted right out of high school in his hometown of Framingham, MA. He underwent rigorous educational and military training at the prestigious four-year United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After years of intensive flight training, Major Lannon steadily advanced through the military ranks, including a deployment to Syria in 2018. Today, he proudly serves as part of the 120th Fighter Squadron—the incredible flyover crew for our Inaugural match!
