Bio:
Veteran center back Kaleigh Kurtz signed for Denver Summit FC in November 2025, bringing championship pedigree and one of the most accomplished ironwoman records in NWSL history. The experienced defender has signed through the 2028 season and arrives as a key anchor for Denver’s backline ahead of the club’s inaugural year.

Kurtz spent eight seasons with the North Carolina Courage, where she won two NWSL Championships, two Shields, and two Challenge Cups. She became one of the league’s most durable and reliable defenders, setting NWSL records for consecutive minutes played and consecutive games started while completing four ironwoman seasons. Over her career, she has made more than 100 professional appearances and added timely contributions in attack, including a 90th-minute equalizer in 2025 against Kansas City.

Before turning pro, Kurtz starred collegiately at the University of Richmond and the University of South Carolina, earning First Team All-American honors, SEC Defensive Player of the Year, and becoming a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist. She has also played abroad with Östersunds DFF in Sweden and Canberra United in Australia, where she was named the club’s Player of the Year in 2019/2020.
