Six players have earned call-ups to represent their national teams during the October FIFA international break, Denver Summit FC announced on Wednesday.

With over 170 caps for the United States Women’s National Team, including helping the squad to a World Cup win, two Olympic medals and donning the Captain armband in the 2023 World Cup, midfielder Lindsey Heaps received a call up to represent her nation as a member of the USWNT. Heaps will compete in a pair of friendlies against No. 1 Spain on Oct. 10 and Oct. 13.

For the third time this year, defender Janine Sonis and midfielder Emma Regan have been selected to represent Canada, who will play back-to-back matches against Denmark on Oct. 9 and Oct. 12. Sonis, who has more than 125 caps for the senior national team, most recently helped Canada to a 6-0 win against Costa Rica, completing a hat trick with two penalty goals. Regan, making her 21st cap with the Senior Women’s National team in June, played all 90 minutes in the shutout win against Costa Rica.

Forward Yuzuki Yamamoto will represent a No. 5 ranked Japan in a pair of friendlies against Haiti (10/9) and Germany (10/13). Picking up five caps for Nadeshiko Japan this season, Yuzuki helped Japan to an Asian Cup Championship in March, picking up two assists and a single goal in her three appearances, alongside a win and loss in a pair of friendlies against the United States in April.

With four Senior team caps under her belt, forward Melissa Kössler will represent her country as a part of the German National Team. Kössler will join the squad to compete in two friendlies against Australia on Oct. 9 and Japan on Oct. 13, with a chance to face fellow Summit teammate, Yuzuki.

Defender Ayo Oke was named to the U.S. U-23 Women’s National Team and will participate in Domestic Training Camp from Oct. 5-13 in Fayetteville, Ga. Collecting three call ups for the U-23 squad this year and one for the senior team, Oke will help the team take on a pair of friendlies against the Dominican Republic on Oct. 9 and Oct. 13.
