September 15th marks the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on Sept. 16 and Sept. 18.
Hispanic and Latin communities have long shaped the culture and history of Colorado, enriching our neighborhoods with traditions, diverse cultures, and a shared love of fútbol. At Summit FC, we believe in the power of sport to bring people together. This month, and throughout the year, we celebrate the heritage that continues to inspire strength, unity, and pride across our community.

- Sept. 11, 2026 – June 15, 2027: A Century of Art In Latin America: The Denver Art Museum (DAM) announces its next Fox Gallery exhibition A Century of Art in Latin America opens June 15, 2025, on view through June 15, 2027, in the Latin American Art galleries on level four of the museum’s Martin building.
- Sept. 13 – Oct.11, 2026: La Lotería Botánica: Denver Botanic Gardens Cultural Exhibitions: Discover seasonal displays and cultural installations across the gardens that celebrate Latino heritage, biodiversity, and community connection.
- September 19, 2026, 7:00 PM: Latin Beats: Sonidos de las Américas at Boettcher Concert Hall: The Mexican Cultural Center and the Colorado Symphony present this vibrant concert celebrating Latin culture’s profound influence on music and sound throughout the Americas.
- September 19 & 20, 2026: Caribe By Cleo Parker Robinson Dance at Ellie Caulkins Opera House: Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, Denver’s premier dance company, opens its 56th season with Caribe — bridging the spirit of the Caribbean with the heart of Colorado.
- September 19, 2026, 7:30 PM: Noche Latina with the Colorado Rapids at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park: Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month as the Rapids host Seattle Sounders FC, complete with live music, cultural activations, and a postgame fireworks show.
- September 20, 2026: Los Rockies Day at Coors Field: Celebrate Hispanic and Latino culture with community pride, music, and Colorado baseball as the Rockies host the Chicago Cubs.
- September 25, 2026: Amor Prohibido -Tribute to Selena: A live Tejano and cumbia dance-pop tribute concert at the Summit Music Hall on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
- Fall Performance: Flamenco Denver Performances: Experience world-class flamenco performances celebrating rich palos (styles), featuring master dancers and guest artists from Spain and around the world.
- Monthlong Special: Kachina Cantina: This month we’re celebrating the roots of where our story lies. Inspired by indigenous ingredients and the spirit of the land, our menu is rooted in intentional cooking and a respect for tradition: something we are proud to observe not only during Hispanic Heritage Month, but every month after.
- Ongoing Dance Classes: Salsa & Bachata Sundays: Weekly social dancing and music events running through the season at La Rumba.
- Ongoing Exhibition: Museo de las Americas Exhibits: Explore contemporary and historical Latinx/Chicanx fine art and cultural heritage through rotating exhibitions featured at Denver’s flagship Latino arts institution.

- October 24, 2026: Dia de los Muertos: This traditional Mexican and Mexican-American celebration brings the community together as a collective to honor the presence of our ancestors and loved ones who have passed.
- October 31, 2026: Dia de los Muertos at Urban Garden: The Urban Farm bursts into color for Día de Los Muertos. Enjoy giant skull painting, sugar skull decorating, face painting and a mechanical bull. Experience Mariachi Las Dahlias, a Goats & Ghouls Parade, Lucha Libre wrestling and dancing horses with side-saddle riders.
- November 1, 2026: Dia de los Muertos Celebration With The Colorado Symphony: Celebrate the Mexican holiday Día de Muertos with the Colorado Symphony in a festive, family-friendly concert filled with music, storytelling, and color.

- CLARRO: Empowering Latinos through leadership development, advocacy, and research to strengthen Colorado.
- COLOR Latina: Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights (COLOR) is a Latina-led, community-rooted reproductive justice organization that enables Latine individuals to lead safe, healthy, and self-determined lives.
- Convivir: We support youth impacted by migration as they find power in their migrant experience and use it to enrich themselves and their Colorado communities.
- Latino Community Foundation of Colorado: A state-based philanthropic foundation that works hand-in-hand with diverse communities to create culturally responsive strategies that build influence, equity, and opportunity for all Latino Coloradans.
