Bio

U.S. Women’s National Team captain and Colorado native Lindsey Heaps joined Denver Summit FC ahead of the club’s inaugural 2026 NWSL season, returning home as one of the most accomplished midfielders of her generation. A global champion and proven leader, Heaps has signed through the 2029 season and will officially join Summit FC following the conclusion of her 2025–26 campaign with OL Lyonnes, with her arrival in Denver expected in June 2026.

Heaps arrives after a decorated spell with OL Lyonnes, where she won four Division 1 Féminine titles, a UEFA Women’s Champions League crown, and the Coupe de France Féminine. She previously starred in the NWSL with Portland Thorns FC, capturing the 2017 NWSL Championship, two NWSL Shields, and the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup, while earning league MVP honors in 2018.

Internationally, Heaps has earned more than 170 caps for the United States, winning the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Olympic gold in 2024, Olympic bronze in 2020, and multiple CONCACAF titles. She has also been recognized individually as U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year and named to The Best FIFA Women’s 11.
